A very happy New Year everyone!
2015 was an amazing year at Pulaski Grow and I have many of you to thank for that! As we start into the new year I wanted to share a little of life at the cottage and greenhouse.
I have an intern Zhenya, who has been a huge help with planting, harvesting and CSA prep (and all other tasks as are thrown at her)!
We just finished our first 3-month CSA period and are getting a much better handle on just what likes to grow aquaponically in our greenhouse and are working to maximize our growing potential.
We have youth from the Beans and Rice/Pulaski Middle afterschool program come every Tuesday, and they are learning how to do things like plant towers and net pots, clear drip lines, fix gutters and fertilize float beds. This group has ten youth who participate.
We continue to offer tours the Second Saturday of every month from 10:00 am until noon. We had two groups come to our January tour!
I will be offering Basic Job Skills training for youth in February (details coming soon).
